Exam Results

An explanation of all the possible Academic Standings you may receive are listed below. When you receive your online results, these are provisional. Your official Transcript of Results will be posted to you.

In some cases, the credits column in the online results may be incorrect. If you have received between 35% and 39% in a subject and have gotten above 40% in all other subjects in that semester, then you may be entitled to Pass by Compensation.

However, if you have received between 35% and 39% in a subject and have received less than 35% in another subject in that semester, then you cannot pass by compensation. In this case you will have to repeat all subjects you received less than 40% in.

If you are in any doubt, please ensure you attend your Consultation or contact either your Department Office or the Examinations Office.

If you would like any assistance from the Students’ Union, please do not hesitate to contact the Education officer.

Your official Transcript of Results will detail exactly what subjects you must resit.
